Today Lucy Demery, Conservative Parliamentary Candidate for Wokingham, visited Wade Care Centre in Wokingham to meet with members and hardworking staff.
Wade Trustee, David Lee, showed Lucy around Wade, a registered charity which promotes the welfare of elderly communities in Wokingham and the surrounding area.
Lucy said, “Wade does amazing work, providing a wonderful sense of community and social connection for people over 60. The members I met spoke so highly of the care they receive and the friendships they have made. We enjoyed watching D-Day commemorations together over a cup of tea.
“I met with Davinia and other members of staff who were all so warm and welcoming. I was very moved by their commitment and compassion. I look forward to supporting Wade’s important work in our community.”
