The latest application for 89 houses on the Sibly Hall site was rejected at Earley Town Council planning committee last night.
Although an improvement on the original plan, the committee still considered that the site was overcrowded with a loss of amenity land. The committee also expressed concerns about the risk of increased flooding due to the culverts on the edge of the site and also the impact of increased traffic on Redhatch Drive and also the main feeder roads in and out of Earley which are already very congested.
The plan will be probably be considered at the Borough Council planning meeting on 8th February. If you want to make your views known to the committee please contact the council via the website or send me an email which I will be happy to pass on.
