Daniel Hinton, the Conservative candidate for Norreys ward, has been knocking on doors and talking to residents across the ward. He's keen to listen to the views of local people and gain an insight to the issues in different neighbourhoods.
In March, Daniel and the Norrey’s Conservative team were on the doorsteps hearing from residents about their experiences of living in Mulberry View. The team was joined by Wokingham Borough Council leader Cllr John Halsall.
Daniel said: "The number one concern on the day was the crossing between Mulberry View and Ashridge Road.
"Prior to knocking on doors, I showed John where residents need the crossing and those residents who met John that morning demonstrated the strength of local concern about safety here.
"I am delighted to share the news that together we have been successful in highlighting the need for a safe crossing.
"It’s great news to have confirmation that the new crossing will be installed and to show you that we do get things done for residents.
"However, there is still much more to do. We are continuing to work to deter speeding not only down Warren House Road but also Diamond Jubilee Road and Bell Foundry Lane.
The new distribution road will be open in June but Daniel is campaigning to get this open earlier to help residents, reduce congestion and ensure we manage the traffic better.
"I am here to serve you, the residents, and I hope I'm showing you that is exactly that. I would love to have your support for the election on May 5th.
"If you have any questions or want to share your views on any issue, please get in touch."

Cllr John Halsall writes: " I can understand why you are rightly concerned. I have spoken to the relevant Borough Council officers and the Chief Executive.
I have instructed my highways team to act on the installation of a pedestrian crossing near to the junction with Ashridge Road and painting 30mph speed signs on to the road surface.
Once these are in place, I will be contacting the Thames Valley Police Borough Commander and the Police and Crime Commissioner, calling on them to rigorously enforce the speed limit on Warren House Road, and asking them to undertake a speed review."
