I have lived in Finchampstead since 2006 and attended both Gorse Ride and St Crispin’s School.
Growing up I have worked in the local area and now work in wealth management. Having lived the changes that have happened locally over the years I know and understand our area.
Some changes I have seen however include large amounts of poorly done new developments, some of which have been on green fields. With a distinct lack of infrastructure to support the increase of people living and commuting in the area.
A lot of people love living here because of the closeness to nature and as a CEN (Conservative Environment Network) Ambassador I want to protect that. If there are developments it should not be at the expense of local residents.
In addition to that services have been reduced, such as bin collections and road maintenance. While at the same time increasing taxes.
Having lived locally for so long I feel and understand these issues. I want to promote changes that actually have a positive impact on local residents, not a negative.
