I'm 22 years old and I've lived in Finchampstead my entire life. I currently find myself studying BSc Business in my final year at the University of Bath but during my spare time you'll probably find me throwing darts or watching the football.
As I come towards the end of my education, the joys of permanently moving back home have been overshadowed by two years of chaos and carnage brought to us through the Liberal Democrat controlled council.
Wasted money, extortionate car parking fees, poorly maintained roads, less bin collections, no local plan to combat excessive housing, the list goes on! Having spent a portion of time in Lib Dem controlled Bath over the past 4 years, I see the same picture as I do in Wokingham, no common sense and no clear vision, the only thing they do seem confident about is ignoring resident consultations.
During a time of economic uncertainty, the abundance of unnecessary spending, cuts and costs passed onto residents is only exacerbating the issue. What Wokingham needs is a sensible direction to follow through focusing on what’s actually important; creating a local plan, mending our local infrastructure, and putting a stop to some of the more nonsensical decisions made over the past two years is how to achieve this. Only the Conservatives can deliver this.
